The History Of Happy Valley

The community was originally named after the very first residents, Christilla Valley. The names of these residents were Christina and Matilda Deardorff. These residents arrived to the area in 1851, and they claimed over 600 acres of the valley’s floor.

As previously mentioned, the town was incorporated in 1965, and stayed a small community until the mid-199s. It has quickly become one of the fastest growing communities in Oregon.
